Hydroinformatics is a scientific subject that appeared in the 90s, at the same time as the rapid development of Computers, and is the intersection of the science of Informatics and the various scientific fields related to water resources (surface, underground and coastal water bodies). Sections of this course are:
a) Use of numerical methods to simulate phenomena that are part of the hydrological cycle (computational hydraulics -Computational Hydraulics- and computational fluid dynamics -Computational Fluid Dynamics)
b) Local and global optimization methods (local and global optimization)
c) Machine Learning and non-linear interpolation methods
d) Uncertainty analysis and sensitivity analysis of numerical models
